I never knew my pop but I knew from stories that he was a very noble man. He came from a very large family. He was the 5th child and he was also the middle child.
He was born at Telegraph Point, Port Macquarie to settlers.
He severved time in the armed forces and wore his uniform with pride.
He was in the 42nd Infantry Battalion and served on the Kokoda Trail in the 2nd World War.
He died at a very young age and left behind a wife and 2 young children.
At the time of his death he was working as an undertaker.
He was laid to rest at the Field of Mars Cemetary at Ryde.
SOMEONE WHO CARES
As The Sun Came Up This Morning
I Watched You There Below
Your Hearts Seemed Oh So Heavy
But There’s Something You Should Know
I’m Not Gone So Don’t Worry
I’m Just A Step Ahead
And I’m With You Every Single Day
As You Rise Up From Your Bed
I Am The Sun That Warms You
I Am The Moon’s Soft Glow
I Am The Stars That Twinkle
And Light Your Path Below
So When At Times You Miss Me
Just Look For Me I’m There
For You Cannot Hide My Spirit
It Is With You Everywhere.
